At the 2024 World Championships Kata in Las Vegas just last week, several entries hailed from Oceania, a fact which highlights the diversity of the discipline.
Officials of the Oceania Judo Union said, “Our competitors delivered remarkable performances on day 2, showcasing the strength and skill within our region. Sam Manu (WN WAI) and Phouphayly Palilavong (WN UPP) represented New Zealand in the Goshin-Jutsu section, delivering a solid performance and achieving an impressive score of 436 points! Their performance was outstanding and a testament to their dedication.
