Craig Bartlett (HOW AK) and Dianne Limbrey (WEL WN) were again in action refereeing at the European Open in Romania earlier this month.

NZ Referees On World Stage

Craig Bartlett (HOW AK) and Dianne Limbrey (WEL WN) are currently in Europe gaining additional experiece refereeing at the top level.
The photo is from the Senior European Cup in Podcetrtek, and the NZ pair were among 29 referees spread over four mats for the competition.  They were the only referees from outside Europe.
This coming weekend Craig and Dianne will both be in Cluj, Romania for the European Open.
We wish them every success.

Keightley Wins Bronze In Taipei

Keightley Watson (WAN NW) fighting in the Senior men's Plus 100 kg category at the Taipei Open at the weekend beat Australian Liam Park by ippon to secure a bronze medal. Keightley won his first match against Lee from Taiwan before losing his semi-final match to eventual gold medalist Youn of Korea, setting up the fight against the Australian.

Kodokan Kata Summer Course

Alan Hoverd and Colin Berry (BUD WN)) and Neisha Brooking (TAU WB) recently returned from the Kodokan Summer Kata Course in Tokyo attended by over 300 participants, three quarters of whom were from overseas.
